Social eclipse

"Social Eclipse" is a concrete structure that under the influence of light creates a play of shadows, where the light rays that slip away reveal and blend with the shadows in a harmonious way.

This project arises from the film Metropolis by German director Fritz Lang, which reflects the social situation in Germany in the 1920's. At that time there was a strong class division, which the director illustrates through the use of light, illuminating the upper class and hiding the working class in the shadows.

The piece seeks to harmonize two opposing poles, through the encounter that occurs briefly when light manages to sneak through the barriers that separate them, thus revealing the deep universe of the working class.
